Respect for All
Every living thing has its job in the great web of life. Every natural formation was formed over incomprehensible amounts of time. Everything deserves respect, including other humans. Disrespect is the beginning of destruction.
Do No Harm
No profits are worth the torture, imprisonment, or destruction of others or our planet home. No argument is worth the life of another. We all must eat, however we have ethical options on our food. If another life is to be consumed, treat it with respect. If a practice is discovered to be destructive to biodiversity, stop supporting it immediately.
A Place for Everyone
Every individual life on this planet has something they enjoy and are good at, which benefits our planet and the web of life as a whole. This is their place, or their calling. Humans are exceptional in the sense that our free will allows and demands a huge variety of callings. When we find our individual place in the world, we thrive and benefit our entire environment. Some species are only beneficial if they are physically in the right part of the planet, and can be very destructive elsewhere. Once everything is back where it belongs, and each individual free to follow their calling, balance can naturally restore itself.
Conflict Resolution
Violence is never OK. We can all coexist, even with differing beliefs and values. Talking peacefully about our concerns in the first instance saves much harm from being done by assumption or carelessness. Listening to the concerns of others helps to build the rainbow bridge between worlds. If you can’t get along with another, walk away and find something else to focus on, rather than allowing the discomfort to fester into hatred.
Future First
We all are caretakers of this planet, it doesn’t belong to us and neither does any small portion of it. Rather, we belong to this planet, as its caretakers and its most adaptive species. The future of our home depends on our ability to maintain balance between our species and every other. We have big brains, opposable thumbs, and the ability to create new ideas and tools beyond any other known species. It is our responsibility to use these advantages in ways which encourage biodiversity, sustainable living, and the freedom for all species to continue sharing our beautiful home.
