Did you know that around 80% of the contents in a regular street landfill bin are actually recyclable?
Or that around 95% of the bulk, and 99% of the weight, of rubbish collected at an average festival is also recyclable?
Our planet has things out of place all over it. This is making us and our environment sick. Something without a place or a purpose is defined as junk. Our planet looks like a junkyard from space now! How embarrassing. We really have a lot of work to do.
Recycling is the repurposing of another’s junk – or your own – into new, useful items. I enjoy this process immensely, whether it be sorting rubbish at a festival in exchange for resources, or picking weird stuff out of the bush while I’m clearing weeds.
Once all the junk is visible and sorted, it can be repurposed. Some gets melted down. Some gets used as fuel. Some items are reused directly, with no changes.
Eventually, everything gets put back into its appropriate place. Then our world will function efficiently again.
If you need help with recycling large or small, get in contact to organise a booking. Please note that except for large jobs, I currently work mainly in the NSW Northern Rivers area.
I am happy to share my data and resources which may help you, or your organisation, reduce your footprint on the planet. Information should be free. I only ask that you do not use my research to make yourself a load of money. If you save or make money by using my techniques, I only ask that you please pay it forward, so others can also benefit. Hot tip: pay your people fairly, and remember the cleaner works at least as hard as the headline artists.
